Louiza Khachatryan

Louiza Khachatryan was born into a family of dancers, with her mother—a professional ballerina—serving as her first teacher. She began her formal dance training at the age of five under her mother’s guidance within her ballet group. Louiza went on to study at the Choreographic Academy of the Armenian State College of Culture and Arts, where she received rigorous training in classical and traditional dance. After graduating, she was selected to join the prestigious Armenian State Dance Ensemble under the direction of Vanush Khanamiryan.

As a soloist, Louiza toured internationally, performing on stages around the world and proudly representing Armenian culture and the artistry of female dance.With over 23 years of professional dance experience, Louiza relocated to the United States and, in 1998, founded Nairi Dance Studio. Since then, she has remained devoted to preserving the beauty and tradition of Armenian dance while inspiring new generations through education, performance, and cultural pride.Louiza is a celebrated Armenian soloist dancer known for her expressive performances and dedication to preserving Armenian cultural heritage through dance.

Having represented Armenia on international stages, she brings a deep understanding of traditional movement, music, and storytelling. Today, Louiza channels her passion into teaching, inspiring her students to connect with their roots and carry forward the beauty and spirit of Armenian dance.
